Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect

• Account information: your name and email address
• Financial data you enter: income, expenses, debts, assets, goals
• Documents you choose to upload (e.g. bank statements)
• Basic usage data needed to operate and improve the service

2. How your data is stored

Your data is stored in a secure, encrypted database operated on our behalf by Supabase. Data is encrypted both in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized systems acting on your account.

3. We never sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial data to any third party. Limited service providers (such as our hosting, database, and payment processors) only access the data strictly required to operate the service.

4. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from your Settings page. Go to Settings → scroll to the bottom → click 'Delete My Account'. All your data will be permanently deleted immediately. You may also request deletion by emailing hello@wealthguruai.com.

5. Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA)

WealthGuruAI is operated from Canada and governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information.

6. Your Document Data

Documents you upload are stored encrypted using AES-256 encryption. Your documents are never used to train AI models. Documents are used solely to provide you with financial analysis and coaching. You may request deletion of your documents at any time by contacting hello@wealthguruai.com.

7. Bank Account Connections

WealthGuruAI offers optional bank account connectivity powered by Plaid Inc. When you choose to connect a bank account: (a) you provide your credentials directly to Plaid — WealthGuruAI never sees, receives, or stores your banking login; (b) we receive read-only access to account balances and transaction history — we cannot move money, make payments, or change anything in your accounts; (c) synced data is stored securely, protected by row-level security, and used only to power your own dashboard, budgeting, and AI guidance — it is never sold or shared with third parties; (d) you can disconnect any bank at any time from Settings, which permanently revokes access. Plaid's handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy at plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy.
